Who am I

@SandraBaron10 check out my twitter feed.

Muse as in musing…….I am a biologist/ecologist by training, but it is my lifelong interest in physics that motivates physicsmuse. I am also a musician of the electric guitar variety and my husband and I just released our album, you can access it here:   https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/the-world-you-want/id535910644

This blog is basically a notebook. I will capture things I am thinking about, but I may just jot them down for further thought, research, development at a later time. I have been reading the works of great physicists for many years, their ideas are threaded with my own. My favorite thing to do is to question basic assumptions about the world. So, I will continue to do that with the caveat that I can’t always give individual credit to other thinkers, but I am well aware of their influence.

I have also read quite a bit about complexity theory and artificial life (Steven Levy and others). These works have shown me the myriad ways simple systems can self-organize from the bottom-up to form complex relationships.

Interesting site. Some readers might be interested if you could post a list of the books you’ve read. That would let them explore the ideas in more depth than you can go into on your blog. Just an idea…

If you haven’t read it, “Genius” by James Gleick is a great book on the famous physicist Richard Feynman. Funny at times and with some insights into the Los Alamos, among many other things.

Thanks Andy, I do need to start building a bibliography. I don’t know if I read that book, but I have read some things by Feynman. Did you ever see his comments on Democracy? They were wonderful. Not too many people can bring a clarity of mind to politics!…..Sandy
